Ingredients
Raw papya 1 cup (peeled and chopped)
Moong daal 2 tsp
Finely chopped onion 1 medium size
Chopped green chilies 2
Curry leaves 3-4
Turmeric powder 1/4 tsp
Mustard seeds 1/4 tsp
Cumin seeds 1/4 tsp
Water 1-2 tbsp
Oil 2 tsp
Salt to taste
Method
Soak moong daal in water for 2 hrs.
Heat oil in pan, add cumin and mustard, after it crackles add curry leaves, onion, fry till it turns golden brown. Then add green chilies, turmeric powder, papaya, moong daal and salt. Mix well. Then add water cook by covering lid for 5-7 min. Serve hot with bhakri/chapati.
Tip
You can sprinkle 1 tsp besan after adding papya. Mix well and cook.
